2012 promises to be an exciting year for Dorset.
Weymouth and Portland will be hosting the sailing events during the London 2012 Olympics, which take place between 27th July and 12th August.
The Paralympic Sailing Events will be held in Weymouth and Portland between 29th August and 9th September.
The county will also play a full part in the UK’s biggest ever festival, The Cultural Olympiad between 21st June and 9th September.

Dorset is only two hours away from London so is a good base for visiting the Olympic Games in London.
